HybridNeuroHub Initiative Took a Stage at the Third Annual Meeting organized by DiCE Consortium in Maribor, Slovenia
On September 11th, 2024 the DiCE Consortium held its third annual meeting in Maribor, Slovenia, bringing together key stakeholders from across Europe. Hosted by RRA Podravje - Maribor, the event gathered experts to discuss progress on ambitious projects focused on fostering collaboration, innovation, and synergies in the health technology sector.
During the event, Aleš Holobar and Tanja Botić, in on-line presence, showcased the HybridNeuroHub initiative, a key component of the broader HybridNeuro project. HybridNeuroHub is a European initiative aimed at strengthening partnerships between clinicians, industry leaders, and research centers in the field of muscular and neuroscience rehabilitation. Their presentation highlighted ongoing efforts to establish a regional HybridNeuroHub in Slovenia, designed to showcase advancements in hybrid neural interfaces and AI. The hub aims to drive cutting-edge research, bridging the gap between neuroscience, technology, and healthcare, and accelerating the translation of research into practical technology solutions.
The meeting also featured notable contributions from Nataša Ritonija, CEO of RRA Podravje - Maribor, who emphasized the agency's dedication to fostering sustainable regional innovation, focused on two pillars: circular bio-economy and applied AI. Additionally, Marjetka Kralj Kunčič from TIMIAN Consulting provided an in-depth analysis of the new EU medical device regulations and their implementation in Slovenia.
A huge thank you to Amna Potočnik, Špela Flegar and Tomaž Eisenhut for inviting us to be part of the event.
