HybridNeuro at the International Conference Dialogues in Neurodegenerative Disorders
HybridNeuro participated in the Dialogues in
Neurodegenerative
Disorders: Care, Communication, and Biomedical Challenges
international conference held on June 6-7, 2024, in
Ljubljana,
Slovenia. This significant event brought together leading
experts from various fields, including neuroscience, neurology,
healthcare, psychology, innovative IT applications, and family
perspectives, all dedicated to improving the lives of those
affected by neurodegenerative disorders (NDDs).
Prof. Dr. Aleš Holobar gave a talk titled "Hybrid Neural Interfaces and Novel Ways of Assessing Corticomuscular Coupling," highlighting innovative approaches to advancing care and research in NDDs. He presented the activities of the HybridNeuro project and highlighted the potential of hybrid neural interfaces in enhancing our understanding and treatment of these challenging conditions, particularly in rehabilitation.
The conference focused on integrating scientific knowledge with medical, caregiving, psychological, and social approaches to managing neurodegenerative disorders. The primary goal was to foster dialogue among experts from different disciplines and contribute to better patient understanding and care.
The second day of the conference addressed digital health, emphasising data spaces, AI governance policies and AI technologies, showcasing best practices from various digital health domains. This focus on digital health highlighted the importance of integrating modern technological advancements with healthcare practices to improve patient outcomes.
The international conference was held under the honorary patronage of the President of the Republic of Slovenia, dr. Nataša Pirc Musar. With over 50 speakers from more than 20 countries, it showcased experience, research, and innovations in managing Neurodegenerative Disorders.
