At the 57th International Trade and Entrepreneurship Fair (MOS 2025) in Celje, the HybridNeuro project was presented at the “Intersection of Science and Business” corner, organized as part of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation initiative. This corner annually highlights Slovenia's scientific achievements and fosters collaboration between research institutions and industry. For several years, it has been led by Mr. Janez Škrlec, developer of the “bionic” technological platforms.

The HybridNeuro team from Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, System Software Laboratory, University of Maribor, presented the project's work on hybrid neural interfaces, which integrate brain and peripheral nervous system signals. A central component is the use of high-density electromyography (HD-EMG) signals and AI empowered technologies to process obtained signals. Feasibility studies have demonstrated the potential of high-density EMG (HD-EMG) in muscle-computer interfaces (MCIs), human-computer interfaces (HCIs), and medical applications, in case of HybridNeuro project, the post-stroke recovery evaluation. These technologies are intended to enhance control precision, support rehabilitation and promote knowledge transfer to industry via the emerging HybridNeuro Hub, with strong integration of competencies cultivated through the EU.FFICIENT project.

The event also covered developments in digital transformation, Industry 4.0 and 5.0, bionics, and space technologies, providing opportunities for exchanging ideas, sharing research results, and strengthening links between science and industry.
