Hybrid Neuro at “Neuro weekend: Electrical mind flow” in TehnoPark Celje, Slovenia

On the 23rd and 24th of November 2024, TehnoPark Celje hosted an event titled “Neuro Weekend: Electrical Mind Flow”, which showcased the interplay between neuroscience and cutting-edge technology.

The event featured a podcast by Aleš Holobar, a coordinator of the Hybrid Neuro project at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science University of Maribor. His talk offered insights into how muscle and brain signals can be harnessed to control devices, navigate virtual environments, and even operate robotic systems.

An interactive demonstration given by Matjaž Divjak using the HoloLens augmented-reality glasses provided attendees with a hands-on experience of these advanced neurotechnological capabilities. The event was designed to engage a diverse audience, ranging from curious young minds to professionals in neuroscience, robotics, and information technology. This practical approach not only demystified complex concepts but also inspired attendees to explore the fields of neuroscience and engineering further.

Through events like this, TehnoPark Celje continues to play a vital role in making advanced technologies more accessible and fostering curiosity among future generations.
